The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation will host the Conservation Heritage Scholarship Shoot Off on Saturday, July 11 at The LINC in Jefferson City, Mo.

We will follow social distancing and sanitizing guidelines put forth by the CDC. For example, there will be only one archer per target and we ask that the next flight group wait for the previous flight group to leave before coming on the range.

This tournament will be open to all High School Division archers, however, only Juniors and Seniors (Seniors are considered those who graduated in May 2020) will be eligible for scholarship prizes. Cash prizes, along with trophies and medals, will be awarded to the top three teams. Individual medals will be awarded to the top 5 boys and girls. Other prizes may be awarded. Door prizes for competitors will be drawn during each flight.

We will also have a Coaches’ Shoot Off, allowing coaches to compete against each other. The $10 donation goes to MoNASP scholarships. More details about the Coaches’ Shoot Off will follow.

  • Archer entry fee = $20
  • Adult admission fee = $5
  • Children 5-11 = $3
  • Children 4 and younger = Free
  • 2020 MoNASP State Tournament T-shirts = $15

Scholarship Information

Top 3 Boys and Girls out of Juniors and Seniors will receive a scholarship (seniors are considered those who graduated in May 2020).

Team trophies, medals and cash prizes for the top 3 teams.

  • 1st: $250
  • 2nd: $150

Coaches’ Shoot Off

$10 donation to compete against other coaches. Top three coaches win a prize. Donations go toward MoNASP scholarships. More details to follow.

COVID-19 Protocols

Protocols will be updated as needed based on CDC and Governor Parson’s Missouri state guidelines.

  • Housekeeping
    • Staff and volunteers will wear masks.
    • Sanitizing stations will be placed around the facility for participants.
  • Entrance to The LINC will be through one door with Exit through another door
    • MCHF staff will ask a few questions and will take temperatures of all people entering The LINC for the archery tournament.
      • Questions may include:
        • Have you been in close contact with someone who is currently sick with COVID-19?
        • Have you travelled outside of Missouri in the last 14 days?
        • Do you have a persistent cough that is not normal for you?
        • Are you experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing not attributed to another health condition?
        • Are you experiencing body aches or chills?
        • Do you have a sore throat? Are you experiencing a loss of taste or smell?
    • Competitors, coaches and their guests will be allowed into the facility 30 to 40 minutes prior to the hour their flight starts (because of the heat) and can stage inside the gym. There will be plenty of room to social distance. Coaches may come in 45 minutes earlier to check-in and pick up score cards.
    • Once a flight is completed, competitors and their guests should leave unless there is another archer in the family/team competing in another flight.

  • Seating will be limited to the 50 archers and their guests.
    • After each flight, the bleacher railings will be sanitized.
  • Coaches check-in
    • Only one coach will be allowed to pick up the score cards for their team.
    • Each archer will receive their own pencil to use for scoring.
  • Shooting
    • Archery rounds will begin on the hour
    • One archer per target
    • Archers will be assigned a bow rack based on the shooting lane on their score card. 10 shooters will be assigned to each bow rack. Shooters will practice social distancing protocol to get bow and proceed to shooting lane.
    • Scoring – Archers 1 and 2 will score each other, archers 3 and 4, archers 5 and 6, etc.
    • After all rounds of archery have been completed, a staff person will pick up the score cards.
    • Between each new group of archers, staff will wipe down bow racks and clip boards.
  • Self-screening
    • Before attending this event, all competitors, coaches and spectators need to ask themselves the following questions and refrain from attending if any answer is yes:
      • Do you have or have you had a fever of over 100.4 in the last 72 hours?
      • Do you have a persistent cough that is not normal for you?
      • Are you experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?
      • Are you experiencing body aches or chills?
      • Do you have a sore throat? Are you experiencing a loss of smell?
