Funds for this program were used to educate and inspire the next generation of prairie conservationists in the heart of Missouri’s prairie country. MCHF supported the purchase of supplies that can be used for many additional educational opportunities with Montrose School in Henry County.
The Science and Agriculture teachers have asked MDC to organize a Fall Semester experience that involves students in collecting seed on the prairies. Funding provided by MCHF has provided initial funding and momentum for in-depth and hands on prairie education at Montrose High School for years to come.
