Stream Stewardship Trust Fund dollars allowed MCHF to underwrite stewardship fees and other easement-related expenses of the Ozark Regional Land Trust, which is holding the permanent easement on 1,000 acres in Warren County donated by private invididuals. The landowners placed the easement on the property to ensure that their land, which contains 3.5 miles of intermittent streams and is in close proximity to St. Louis, remain free from development forever. The property is located in the Missouri River Hills COA and the River Hills Forest Habitat Project focus area, contains a population of ruffed grouse as well as several high quality natural communities.
