MO Girls Discover Nature – Northwest 2013

The Missouri Girls Exploring Nature is a three day camp that has been presented by the Conservation Agents in NW Region for the first time in 2013. The goals of the camp is to offer an introduction of a variety of outdoor skills to young ladies between the ages of 11-15. The young ladies also receive instruction, and completion of the Hunter Education course in a group setting of their peers. The camp has been designed for the girls to come experience hunter education in a more hands on environment. They are in an environment with their peers being taught by experienced instructors which make them very comfortable and willing to try new things. They learn water safety, canoeing, map and compass, camping survival, conservation management and ethics, basic firearm instruction, tree stand safety, shooting skills wildlife identification, game care and other management practices.
