MO Girls Discover Nature – Southwest 2013

This camp is for young girls between the ages of 11-15. During the camp, conservation agents introduce the girls to different types of outdoor recreation, such as fishing, archery, orienteering, canoeing and wildlife identification. The camp is designed to create an environment in which the girls feel comfortable learning these skills. Experienced instructors assist the girls in hands-on learning, giving them the confidence they need to try new things. They also receive Hunter Education instruction, shoot bows and arrows and .22 rifles. The camp is completely free to girls to attend because of contributions from partners. The food, supplies, t-shirts and water bottles they receive are of no cost to them.
