Supplies and travel for two MSU researchers to keep the continuity of their white-nosed syndrome study going as they complete one project that just ended and before they start their follow-up study which begins Spring 2010. This is a year-round out-of-cave monitoring program initiated in the spring of 2010 at the Ozark National Scenic Riverways in Shannon & Carter Counties, including Bat Cave and Powder Mill Cave, as well as four other caves within the Park. The purpose of this program was to determine the presence or absence of Indiana bat maternity colonies that might be impacted by forest management, and to determine habitat use of all bat species throughout the Park. Sampling needs to continue to monitor for white-nosed syndrome in Missouri.
