St. Louis Region Youth Frog Gigging Clinic

This frog gigging clinic will host 25 youth, age 11-15 from the St. Louis area. Each young person will be mentored by an adult, learning about frog gigging regulations, habitat, biology and equipment.  After a guided gigging trip at B.K. Leach Memorial Conservation Area, the participants learn how to properly clean and cook their catch.  MCHF funding will purchase chest waders, games shears and spotlights for the youth to use during the clinics.
