LaBarque Creek Land Acquisition

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds provided to acquire 11.3 acres, a portion of two tracts that contain more than 1,600-feet of Labarque Creek adjacent to Young Conservation Area in Jefferson County. This acquisition was in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Conservation’s purchase of the balance of 14.97 acres in the two tracts.

LaBarque Creek Conservation Area Footbridge

MCHF funds used for the construction of a footbridge at Labarque Creek Conservation Area, to prevent steambank erosionand to provide year-round access.

LaBarque Creek Land Acquisition

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $280,000 were provided to purchase more than 3,600 feet of Labarque Creek adjacent to Young Conservation Area in Jefferson County. LaBarque Creek Land Acquisition – Oberkramer Tract

Toward purchase of 171 acres in the LaBarque Creek Watersehd as an addition to MDC land. This property further protects one of the most pristine watersheds in Missouri within 35 miles of the city of St. Louis. This purchase was made possible by the generous donation of Mrs. Pat Jones.
