Slabtown Access (Big Piney River) Construction Project
The project would replace the eroding gravel boat launch with a concrete structure, resurface the approach to the launch, move the majority of the parking out of the flood zone and increase parking capacity, and address sanitation concerns by installing a concrete vault toilet. Operation Wildlife Lands-LaBarque Creek Conservation Area Public Land Management
Operation Wild Lands is a program that engages citizen volunteers of all ages to restore and maintain public lands throughout the Saint Louis Region. Funding will help the program host several habitat works days on public lands in the LaBarque Creek Conservation Opportunity Area.
University of MO-Southwest Center Habitat Improvement Work
Funding will be used by the Department of Conservation and University of Missouri to complete several habitat projects at the University of Missouri, Southwest Research Center near Mount Vernon. The completed habitat projects will be highlighted in future landowner tours and workshops held at the Southwest Center.
