Troublesome Creek Stream Crossing

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds in the amount of$3,250 provided to construct a reinforced stream crossing at Troublesome Creek in the South Fabius watershed in Know County, in return for protection on 0.75 miles of stream channel (3.6 acres) and 5.2 acres of riparian corridor.

Montrose Conservation Area Wetlands Renovation

MCHF funds used to provide matching funds for a MCHF grant request to NAWCA to renovate the wetlands at Montrose Conservation Area in Henry County as part of Missouri’s Wetlands Golden Anniversary.

Maries River Bendway Weir Project

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds provided to pay for a Maries River bendway weir project to stabilize a 1,200-foot length of stream with actively eroding 10-foot high stream bank on private land. The landowner established a 50-foot riparian corridor utilizing USDA CCRP. The Stream is within the region of the Niangua darter.

St. Francis Mountain Bird Conservation Area glade restoration

MCHF funds used to pay for glade/woodland restoration in the St. Francis Mountain Bird Conservation Area for priority grass-scrubland bird species in Wayne, Reynolds and Iron Counties.

James River Bendway Weir Project

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds in the amount of $29,093 provided to fund a James River bendway weir project to address accellerated erosion at this 1,150-foot site in southeastern Greene County.
