Monofilament Recovery and Recycling Materials

MCHF used to purchase materials for the production of monofilament recovery and recycling bins. A sheltered workshop constructed 150 bins placed statewide by Stream Team volunteers and Missouri Department of Conservation employees.

West Brush Creek Weir Project

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds in the amount of $33,702 provided for the West Brush Creek bendway weir project for an actively eroding 12-foot-high stream bank. This is part of the upper Moniteau Creek Agricultural Non-Point Source Special Area Land Treatment (AgNPS SALT) area in Cooper County.

Little Niangua River Clear-Span Structure

Stream Stewarship Trust Funds in the amount of $30,00 provided to offset the additional costs of a clear-span structure versus replacement of an existing low-water crossing on County Road 200, facilitating intra-population movements of the Niangua darter on the Little Niangua River

LaBarque Creek Land Acquisition

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds provided to acquire 11.3 acres, a portion of two tracts that contain more than 1,600-feet of Labarque Creek adjacent to Young Conservation Area in Jefferson County. This acquisition was in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Conservation’s purchase of the balance of 14.97 acres in the two tracts.

Troublesome Creek Stream Crossing

Stream Stewardship Trust Funds in the amount of$3,250 provided to construct a reinforced stream crossing at Troublesome Creek in the South Fabius watershed in Know County, in return for protection on 0.75 miles of stream channel (3.6 acres) and 5.2 acres of riparian corridor.
