LAD Foundation Reimbursement

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $7,500 were used to reimburse the LAD Foundation for its purchase of approximately 40 acres of riparian habitat and stream reach in Perry County, adjacent to Ball Mill Resergence Natural Area, which is currently managed by MDC’s Forestry Division.

Wildlife Management Specialist Support

MCHF funds used to provide funds in support of wildlife management specialist to promote Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) in Cass and surrounding counties.

Big Creek Conservation Area/Thousand Hills State Park Woodland Restoration

MCHF funds provided for the restoration of a 400-acre woodland unit at Big Creek Conservation Area/Thousand Hills State Park in Adair County, in partnership with Missouri Department of Natural Resources-State Parks in a conservation opportunity area.

Cass County District Technician

MCHF funds provided to continue funding of a Full Time Employee (FTE) district technician with Quail Unlimited and the Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District for CRP, CREP, CCRP, EQUIP and othe cost-share projects. 2007 funding = 113 CREP contracts/2247.9 acres and three EQUIP contracts/165.4 acres. MDC Kansas City Region.

Little Bourbeuse-Brush Creek Habitat Improvement

MCHF funds provided for the Little Bourbeuse-Brush Creek grassland habitat improvement: purchase of native grasses, forbes and herbicide for planting on private land within the conservation opportunity area in Crawford, Franklin and Gasconade Counties.
