Blue River Rescue Cleanup

MCHF funds purchased materials and equipment to support the 15th annual Blue River Rescue cleanup of 22 river sites in the Kansas City Area.

Woods Fork Erosion Control

Stream Stewardship Trust Fund dollars paid for the installation of rock structures to correct stream bank erosion problems on private property along Woods Fork of the Gasconade River. Mahans Creek Watershed Restoration

Stream Stewardship Trust Fund dollars and EQIP funds through the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Natural Resources Conservation Service paid for watershed, streambank, and riparian restoration work and livestock exclusion work on private land in the Mahans Creek Watershed.

Bryson’s Hope CA Addition

In 2008—with a gift of $50,000 donated by a private individual—the Foundation was able to purchase 90 acres of land to become part of Bryson’s Hope Conservation Area. Skidmore Marsh Improvements

An MCHF Conservation Partnership grant provided funds to purchase materials and assist with funding to a contract to improve the waterline to Skidmore Marsh, a 100-acre constructed wetland on Truman Reservoir.
