Joplin Tree Replanting

After the F-5 tornado destroyed a significant portion of Joplin's and Duquesne's community forest, tree planting efforts started almost immediately by volunteer, self-starting individuals. In 2012 many volunteers assisted in this community tree planting effort, along with watering during the drought of the summer of 2012. The vast volunteer labor and supported labor pool will not be available summer 2013 to continue watering existing trees or new trees. Ooze tubes will be purchased and can help speed up the process and utilize labor more efficiently.
