Little Black Conservation Area Expansion

Funds from the Stream Stewardship Trust Fund allowed MCHF to contribute 40% of the purchase price of this 413-acre tract of land in Ripley County, a portion of which falls within the South Prong Little Black River Aquatic COA. This property contains a mesic bottomland forest, cane stands, and several aquatic and terrestrial species of conservation concern. One stand of old growth oak dates up to 400 years old. The tract is now part of Little Black Conservation Area. Go to profile>>
