3rd Annual Peterson Outdoors Ministries Wounded Warrior Deer Hunt

This event is sponsored by a non-for-profit organization called Peterson Outdoors. The event will allow U.S. soldiers who have been wounded in combat in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam to participate in a special deer hunt on private land in Barton and Jasper counties. Funding will help cover the cost of food and supplies. Several local businesses and organizations support this program in southwest Missouri. Last year, 8 hunters participated in the event and ten to twelve soldiers are expected for the 2011 event.
