The Macon Family Outdoor Fun Day is a cooperative event hosted by the Department and several conservation organizations. In the past, up to 750 people have attended the event that offered individuals and families the opportunity to learn about shooting, fishing, fly tying, campfire cooking, and numerous other activities (in 2012 there were over 30 activities). Funds are used to cover the cost of equipment and food.
