Missouri River Relief’s: Missouri River Academy

The Missouri River Academy is a five day residential hands-on, science exploration program on the Missouri River. In cooperation with Missouri River Relief and the "Summers @ Mizzou" program, 20 students, ages 14-18 years old, are given a true river experience  - deepening their understanding of the Missouri River, the watershed community and the impact that people have on the natural world.    At the end of the program students will bring their experience back to their community by conducting a service project.  The goal of the project is to build students' knowledge and understanding of the Missouri River through hands-on experiences that will deepen their connection and sense of responsibility to its care and stewardship.
