The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation (MCHF) and Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) are pleased to announce the first Advanced Archery Clinics for Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program (MoNASP) Archers and Coaches instructed by 13-time World Archery Champion Joella Bates beginning Saturday, Dec. 14 at Immaculate Conception School in Jefferson City, Missouri.
If you are a BAI-Certified coach and plan to attend with your archer(s), please register through MDC at, mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/204975.
The Advanced Archery Clinics are an exciting opportunity for youth archers and their coaches to receive one-on-one archery instruction with trainer Bates. This clinic is structured to help youth archers gain knowledge and confidence in their archery abilities in a four-hour session.
“MDC is excited to partner with MCHF to bring in Joella to help our youth archers build upon their current successes,” said MDC State Education Outreach Coordinator Rob Garver. “We look forward to helping our archers continue to excel at the state, regional and national level, while creating interest for students to be involved in this lifelong sport. This is a great opportunity for coaches to watch and learn tips and techniques for helping their archers advance to the next level.”
The Advanced Archery Clinics will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15 and are offered in four-hour sessions at three different times. All clinics will be held at Immaculate Conception School in Jefferson City. Each clinic will be teaching the same skills and can accommodate 10 archers to ensure personalized instruction.
