World fishing legend Roland Martin, pictured above at podium, along with professional anglers Stacey King and Charlie Campbell, met with more than 100 southwest Missouri conservation leaders and supporters on September 24 at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, praising the work of the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation.

“If we are to see a continuation of our great outdoors, it will happen because organizations such as the Conservation Heritage Foundation are supported by today’s outdoor lovers,” said Mr. Martin. In addition, Missouri Department of Conservation retiring director John Hoskins shared remarks about the importance of conservation partnerships.

Foundation President Julius Wall and director Andy Dalton welcomed the group and provided information on the history and accomplishments of the organization.

Bass Pro Shops and individual board members provided funding for the event. The Foundation, in existence for 12 years, has helped raise and invest more than $8 million for hundreds of conservation projects statewide.
