Mahans Creek – Ozark Regional Land Trust Easement Assistance

The Ozark Regional Land Trust has asked Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) for assistance in obtaining a conservation easement on a landowner in the Mahans Creek Watershed. Mahans Creek is a priority watershed and Priority Focus Area for MDC. The property is a 460 acre cattle ranch with high quality forests at the headwaters of the watershed – so it will protect the water quality of Mahans Creek. The landowner is donating some of the long-term stewardship costs.
