Memorial Park Bird Garden with Water Features

MCHF funds provided to purchase materials to contruct a woodland bird garden with water features in Memorial Park, Jefferson City for community conservation.

LaBarque Creek Land Acquisition

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $280,000 were provided to purchase more than 3,600 feet of Labarque Creek adjacent to Young Conservation Area in Jefferson County. Frost Island Conservation Area Wetland Enhancement

MCHF funds provided to purchase water control structure, pipe and rock for a construction project to supplement natural flooding and manipulate vegetation to benefit waterfowl and other wetland species in Frost Island Conservation Area.

Cracker Neck Branch Grade-Control Structure

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $50,000 were provided to install grade-control structures to stabilize the streambed of Cracker Neck Branch a second order tributary (Sac River watershed) and to provide stable crossing for light equipment (Lawrence County).

Niangua River Low-Water Crossing Replacement

Stream Stewardship Trust Fund dollars were allocated to replace a low-water crossing over Niangua River at Williams Ford with a clear-span bridge. Partner funds ($55,000) from Dallas County Commission, ($144,900 federal stimulas funds) from ARRA, and ($10,000) from MDC. 30-year easement.
