Meramec River Bottomland Management and Restoration

MCHF funds for management and restoration of bottomeland forest in the Meramec River floodplain, in a conservation opportunity area in Washington County.

LaBarque Creek Conservation Area Footbridge

MCHF funds used for the construction of a footbridge at Labarque Creek Conservation Area, to prevent steambank erosionand to provide year-round access.

Little Bourbeuse-Brush Creek Habitat Improvement

MCHF funds provided for the Little Bourbeuse-Brush Creek grassland habitat improvement: purchase of native grasses, forbes and herbicide for planting on private land within the conservation opportunity area in Crawford, Franklin and Gasconade Counties.

LaBarque Creek Land Acquisition

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $280,000 were provided to purchase more than 3,600 feet of Labarque Creek adjacent to Young Conservation Area in Jefferson County. Frost Island Conservation Area Wetland Enhancement
