Moniteau County Cultipaker Seed Boxes

MCHF funds provided to purchase seed boxes for an existing Moniteau County Soil and Water Conservation District cultipacker. Landowners use the cultipacker to convert fescue grasslands into more wildlife-friendly grasslands. Seed boxes will enhance the preparation of planting sites and direct seeding of grasses and forbes.

Memorial Park Bird Garden with Water Features

MCHF funds provided to purchase materials to contruct a woodland bird garden with water features in Memorial Park, Jefferson City for community conservation.

Quail Emphasis Area Invasive Plant Control

MCHF funds provided to purchase supplies for invasive plant control on approximately 150 acres on Harmony Mission Lake and Peabody Conservation Area, a Quail Emphasis Area.

Cracker Neck Branch Grade-Control Structure

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $50,000 were provided to install grade-control structures to stabilize the streambed of Cracker Neck Branch a second order tributary (Sac River watershed) and to provide stable crossing for light equipment (Lawrence County).

Little Wilson Creek Stabilization Structure(s)

Stream Stewardship Trust funds in the amount of $50,000 were provided to install a rip rap rock stabilization structure(s) as designed by a certified engineering firm or MDC engineers to stabilize 330 ft. of eroding bank on Little Wilson Creek in the Pomme de Terre watershed (Polk County).
