Auctioneer Billy Long, Former Congressman, Billy Long Strategies
Former Congressman Billy Long became a licensed auctioneer in 1979 and was voted ‘Best Auctioneer in the Ozarks’ 9 years straight. Long has been inducted into both the National Auctioneers’ Association and Missouri Professional Auctioneers’ Association Halls of Fame. Long is currently a licensed Realtor in Springfield, where he lives with his wife, Barbara.

Fund-A-Need
Supporting the Emerging Leaders in Conservation Scholarship created for students at the Johnny Morris Institute of Fisheries, Wetlands and Aquatic Systems
Developed through the Chip and Teresa McGeehan Careers Pathway Program within the Johnny Morris Institute of Fisheries, Wetlands and Aquatic Systems at the University of Missouri, the Emerging Leaders in Conservation Scholarship is providing students with real-world field experiences and training to prepare the next generation of conservationists in the workforce.
Scholarships for furthering education can be very competitive and disheartening. This is especially true for those who aren’t effective test-takers, but find their value and drive in other avenues, including school and community organizations or sports. This is why we are raising funds to give these students an opportunity to pursue their passion in the outdoors and conservation. Help us provide these students with a chance for higher education at MU in the Johnny Morris Institute who may not have the opportunity otherwise. The first scholarship was given out in the 2023-2024 school year. We need to expand the scholarship program to offer it to more students, to not only help pay for their tuition, but also provide the opportunity to set out as a trailblazer in the cutting-edge co-op programs or internships through the Missouri Department of Conservation.
We ask you to step up for these students who have the drive and capability, but need financial support to make a difference in conservation and forever impact the future of our most precious natural resource, water.

Trout Fishing on the White River with MCHF Board Member Rudy Chelednik

Enjoy a day of guided fly fishing for two on the White River (near Bull Shoals Dam) with MCHF Board Member, Rudy Chelednik. Rudy is a United States Westpoint graduate with a degree in Environmental Engineering. He served 12 years as an Engineer Officer in the United States Army and obtained a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T. All fishing gear will be provided as well as a riverside lunch and snack. Anglers of all ages are welcome! No matter how experienced or green you are with fly fishing, you are sure to have a good time and reel in some fish! Anglers must have or purchase a fishing license with trout stamp.

- A two-night stay in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin at the White River Trout Club. Date contingent upon availability.
