Kansas City Youth Conservation Corps

MCHF funds in the amount of $3,828 were provided for ssupport for six-member team/crew leader for the Kansas City Youth Conservation Corp to work on conservation projects.

Meramec River Bottomland Management and Restoration

MCHF funds for management and restoration of bottomeland forest in the Meramec River floodplain, in a conservation opportunity area in Washington County.

Cass County District Technician

MCHF funds provided to continue funding of a Full Time Employee (FTE) district technician with Quail Unlimited and the Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District for CRP, CREP, CCRP, EQUIP and othe cost-share projects. 2007 funding = 113 CREP contracts/2247.9 acres and three EQUIP contracts/165.4 acres. MDC Kansas City Region.

Duck Creek Conservation Area Forest Stand Mapping

MCHF funds provided for Duck Creek Conservation Area (in Bollinger, Stoddard and Wayne Counties) for forest stand mapping to improve area management and assist with planning for major area renovation for the 50th Golden Wetlands Anniversary and NAWCA grant.

DeKalb County Upland Game Bird Youth Day 2008

MCHF funds provided matching funds to purchase upland birds and other event supplies for the DeKalb Coounty Upland Game Bird Youth Day. This event was held September 20, 2008 for 20 youth as a part of the Northwest youth hunter recruitment program.
