The Missouri Girls Discover Nature Junior Camp is a two-day introduction to the outdoors. This camp will be the first stage in the Missouri Girls Discover Nature Camp. The camp is to offer an introduction of a variety of outdoor skills to young ladies between the ages of 8-11. At the completion of the camp, the girls will have confidence to tackle the outdoors and enjoy new outdoor experiences and opportunities. One day they learn canoing, river clean up, water safety, swift water rescue, fish casting, lure tying, fish identification and fish cleaning. Day two they hike and pass through learning stations along the way, including hiking safety techniques, wilderness survival, wildlife ID, GPS, map and compass reading, shooting positions, game care and trapping. They walk thorugh a shoot-don't shoot safety trail set up fo rthem to experience what a realy hunt would be like.
